We need to figure out what types of websites we will need for our project. Here are some ideas:
- Research on different clubhouse designs
- Search for a site where the students can create their own blueprints
- Tool identification-maybe something that has a picture by the word
- Safety articles
Am I on the right track? Obviously some of the sites we find will not be appropriate for first grade. Can we still use these sites that do not work in out web evaluation assignment?
I think you're on the right track, we can look for websites with designs and blueprints. I also think you had a great idea with finding a website that lets students design their own blueprint. I think we could find one for tool identification and maybe a website about how to design and build things (like a step by step on how it should be done?)
ReplyDeleteWe each have to find three websites correct? and I was a little confused about how we submit our evaluation. I know where the evaluation is and what not but according to the directions it says to turn in one evaluation per member on one document, on the other hand the rubric for the assignment says for 20 points "Three evaluation forms were used to evaluate all three web sites." Please let me know if you know what the assignment is asking for! :)
I will start looking and post which websites I plan to evaluate here
The first one I plan to use is "http://buildaclubhouse.com/index.html"
DeleteI also found http://www.theideabox.com/DIY-Cardboard-Playhouse.html
DeleteAnd lastly, one about advertising.. http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/advertisingtricks/
DeleteHere are the ones I found:

Brianna,
ReplyDeleteWe each evaluate our own websites and turn them in separately from what I read. The evaluation sheet has room for each website evaluation (3 total) for just one member. I was confused too... Haha.
Thanks Jamie! Yea I saw after I asked :P
DeleteThese are the websites I will be evaluating:
ReplyDelete- http://www.kidsplaybox.com/building-engineering-activities-kids/
- http://www.learn4good.com/games/building-construction/onlineblocks.htm
- http://pbskids.org/zoom/activities/sci/tallsturdybuilding.html
These are not directly related to building a clubhouse but are connected to creating designs and constructing a building. :)
