Map

So, I was thinking since we are using Indonesia for part A, maybe we could use the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta for part B. It looks like it is a pretty big city. It could be beneficial for the penpals to talk about not only the houses, but also the other building structures in the city. We might not want such a huge map for 1st graders, so maybe if we picked a block or two in Jakarta? Let me know what you ladies think of that?

  1. I created the map, but, can't seem to figure out how to post it. I sent you both emails saying that you can edit the map. If someone could post it, that would be helpful. For the brief description. I was thinking we could have the students use the map by choosing one or two marked places on the map to discuss with their penpals. They can ask their penpals if they have seen them and to describe the buildings. They can use google earth to view the buildings. This will help them to explore different building structures.
